We give thanks to God for the history of "Bridge Street". In various locations from the early years of the 20th century, and here in Bridge Street for over seventy years, God has been gracious and faithful as His people have sought to "worship him in spirit and in truth" and to "go and make disciples"
We truly praise Him for all that is past...
...Now, in a new millennium, we find ourselves facing new challenges and even greater opportunities for God and His Kingdom. The time of Jesus' return is not known to us, but His words are as relevant today as when they were first spoken, " As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me." John 9.4
As a leadership it is in our heart to build on the past with a view of the future. It is our desire that as a congregation together we may all move forward with a vision and purpose that is understood by us all, embraced by us all, and lived out by us all wherever we find ourselves.

We are seeking to become a biblically functioning community, each person finding their gifting and being equipped to serve, living by the power of the Holy Spirit and the principles of God's Word. We will seek to be a people who, through the proclamation and demonstration of the power of the gospel, will see lost people won for Christ.
With God's enabling we will seek, amid our multi-national and social diversity, to become a people of love, care, unity, and prayer through whom, " the Name of the Lord Jesus will be held in high honour." |
