Dear Prayer Partner,

Loving Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Many a times we tend to forget what a Mighty, Awesome God we serve. We are blinded to His majestic hand before us and feel safer depending on man or our own selves. This attitude, we believe, does not please the Father-heart of God. We read about David as a person who was known to be a man after God’s own heart. God proclaimed that to him whilst he was still tending his sheep in the wilderness, even before he fought the giant Goliath. David’s unshaken, unbroken, solid trust in the Lord was built when he fought with the lion and the bear in his pursuit to protect his sheep. This prepared him and gave him the courage to run into the ranks of the enemy in the name of the Lord. David’s trust in the Lord made him say, “For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”(1Samuel 17:26). David knew God and was acquainted with His mercy and loving kindness and could trust in Him. Can we fully trust Him?

We had a young couple who visited us from a small district in the state of Uttaranchal. Their home is about 200 miles away from Chandigarh and they visited STW to buy some resources. Kiran has recently given his life to the Lord and is praying very fervently for his wife, Shashi, to come to know Him. They were both here at the bookstore for almost two hours and were sharing their struggles with us. They have been married for less than a year and since then both have been constantly ill. They were sharing how the enemy has made their home a stronghold and even Kiran’s aged parents go through a lot of struggles. They are now jobless and have spent most of their money on their sickness. We counselled them both through the Word of God and prayed with them. Kiran has amazing faith and believes that Jesus is the only one who can deliver them from all their struggles and is anxious to see his family, especially his wife, come to know the Lord. He needs prayer at this time since the enemy is constantly trying to pull him back, but he is trusting in the Lord completely. Please pray for Kiran and his family.

Please also pray for a lady called Rosy, who came into STW for prayer. She is running various small schools in our city and in Shimla, and she came in anxious and worried. She was quite burdened with work and some personal issues and came looking for answers. She seemed to have compromised in some manner in her walk with Christ, and though she says she follows the Lord, her trust in Him was not very evident. We prayed for her and encouraged her, and told her that our Lord desires complete obedience. Please pray for her as we believe the Lord loves her and wants her to fully follow Him and be a good witness to His name.

We would like you to pray for a young couple who are new believers and are extremely enthusiastic to grow in the Lord and follow Him. Somehow though, they are being misled by a company of people. Please pray for them as they are both precious to the Lord, and though we believe the Lord is allowing them to learn a few lessons here, the Christ who saved them must remain the focus of their lives.

On 10th May we were invited to speak at a ladies meeting in the city of Patiala, which is around 60 miles from Chandigarh in the state of Punjab. Around 20 women from three different churches had gathered together. God gave us a word from John ch15 and we encouraged the ladies to be fruitful for the Lord. We thanked God as one young girl, a student of sports, gave her life to the Lord and many others were encouraged in Him. Almost all of them came forward for prayer and felt their burdens lifted through His Spirit’s ministry. We thank God for such an opportunity and privilege.

How much we trust in Him depends on how much we really know Him, and our knowing Him supernaturally opens our eyes to see Him and His ways all through our lives. David’s friend, Jonathan, dared to trust in God too. At a time when his father, Saul, waited anxiously with his 600 men to fight the Philistines, Jonathan, along with his armour bearer, went into the enemy camp with a yielded trust in the Lord saying, “For the Lord has delivered them into our hand”. (1Samuel 14:10). The Lord surely delivered them that day as Jonathan entered the enemy camp knowing that the Lord had already given them into their hands. Like Jonathan then, how much we can trust in God now, knowing that the Lord Jesus has already overpowered our enemies, our problems, our sicknesses, and has already given deliverance into our hands.

We are trusting the Lord for many things to happen in the future, especially for the ministry, and we believe it will happen, for when we trust in Him He never fails us. Paul says in 2Corinthians 1:10, “[For it is He] who rescued and saved us from such a perilous death and He will still rescue and save us; in and on Him we have set our hope (our joyful and confident expectation) that He will again deliver us [from the danger and destruction and draw us to Himself]. Amp Bible.

With much Love in Christ,
