Every Sunday over 200 children come to have fun and learn about God in creative ways. Each week the children can’t wait to come back for more. They learn about God in an age appropriate way which is relevant to their culture today.
The children take part in fun activities and hear meaningful messages. They relate with their peers and adult staff and learn how to reach out to their friends.

VISION STATEMENT |
|
| |
To lay down spiritual foundations, that will, in God’s timing lead a child into a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
We aim to give the children the opportunity to develop their gifts, to grow in faith, to develop supportive relationships and to experience Christ in a lively and relevant context. |

WHAT DO WE DO?
The adventure begins on Sunday’s with -
Registration – The children are registered outside their departments. All children under 8 are required to wear a name badge. Parents are given an identity tag which needs to be handed in when they collect their child/ren.
Activity Stations – after registration the children enjoy a time packed with different activities, from crafts to chess; slides to snakes and ladders; playstation to playdoh. This is a valuable time for the children to catch up with friends and the adult leaders. The wide range of games and activities are chosen to cater for every child’s tastes and needs.

From there the children move into the Large GroupTime where they learn the weeks Bible lesson. This is age appropriate teaching, using multi-media presentations, drama, puppets and music/worship. The children have a fantastic time learning that God’s Word has all the answers to life’s questions.
For the last half hour of the session, the children move into their small groups where they have Small Group Time. This is where the children experience friendships in community. Each child will stay with the same small group during their time as a child at Bridge Street. We believe that life change happens best within the context of relationships, and our small groups can serve as the means for relationships to develop and grow. Small Group Leaders aid in the application of the teaching as well as minister to the kids in their group personally. Small Groups use application-orientated games, conversation and prayer to explore ways to live out the biblical truths taught during the Large Group Programme.
Each child takes home an activity/colouring sheet and letter to the parent, explaining what their child has learned that week.
CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
We try to include and cater for every child’s needs and where appropriate, an adult helper will be placed one to one with a child who has special needs.
CRECHE 0-3’s
The staff in the Crèche department love and serve our 0-3 year olds. They are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment in which we teach our little ones that God loves them. We pray that through that love, they will come to know and rely on God throughout their lives.
Every week the toddlers have a singing and story time together.
