Now here is something you can try at home!

1. Draw as large a circle as you can
2. Imagine that the area of that circle represents the entire accumulation of human knowledge from the beginning of man’s existence.
3. Now mark in the circle area another area that you believe represents how much knowledge you think you have compared to the total sum of knowledge.
4. Think about the answer.

The point of this exercise is this.

● Do you really believe that you actually know enough to decide to disbelieve God’s word?
● Are you justifying your unwillingness to believe by trusting the words of men who seem to have more knowledge than you? Imagine what their contribution to the circle of knowledge would look like.
● Would you believe everything someone tells you because he is a scientist?
● Why do you think God gave us His word if it requires a special person to tell you what it means? Are we not all equal in God’s eyes? Why then would He give us His word in a form only a few can understand?

An evolutionist will tell you that everything began with the Big Bang.
Guess what! He doesn’t know – he just believes. It doesn’t matter how many degrees he’s got, he still cannot know.

An evolutionist will tell you that the world is billions of years old.
Guess what! He doesn’t know – he just believes. He has no way of finding out.

An evolutionist will tell you that all life began with a single cell that accidentally occurred out of a swill of inorganic material.
Guess what! He doesn’t know – he just believes. This is merely an assumption.

An evolutionist will tell you that life forms change into other life forms; that reptiles changed into birds; that wolves changed into whales; that monkeys changed in men.
Guess what! He doesn’t know – he just believes. Despite nearly 200 years desperately searching the fossil record for proof of these changes, he has yet to find any conclusive proof and there should be a vast amount. He has claimed many only to have them disproved. People have even falsified fossils to try to prove that man came from monkeys.

Think about this.

Despite the fact that there is no conclusive proof for the theory of evolution, it is believed by a great many people; it is taught in our schools, colleges and universities as fact; it is held in such reverence that those who oppose it are frequently mocked, disadvantaged and sometimes persecuted. There are university faculties that will not grant degrees to those who disagree with the theory of evolution.
There is no logic or reason in the theory of evolution that can be borne out by scientific observation. The creation account in the Bible fits so much better with what we see to-day of the Earth’s history. And yet many, many highly intelligent, academically qualified people cling to the theory of evolution with a passion and blind faith that looks extraordinarily like imbecilic stupidity.

Why?

Because God must never be admitted into their lives.
Professor Richard Lewontin, a geneticist and evolutionist, is quoted as saying;
‘We take the side of science (naturalistic) in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated ‘just so’ stories, because we have an a priori commitment to materialism … and that materialism is an absolute for we cannot allow a divine foot in the door.’

If that is not blind faith, what is?

People are afraid to believe in God because they know that they will have to change not only their ideas but also themselves – and they don’t want to do it. That is the sort of slavery so well expressed in the aphorism
‘Better the devil you know ….’

The Bible tells us that those whom Jesus sets free are free indeed.
