Alpha Course in Leeds - Explore the meaning of life

What is the point of life, what happens when we die? Is forgiveness possible? What relevance does Jesus have for our lives today?

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a national and internationally acclaimed course run over eight consecutive Sunday evenings to help those who are exploring the Christian faith.  It is relaxed, informal, fun and includes a meal!!

A typical evening begins with food followed by a DVD presentation and then a time of discussion and questions.  The course allows you to share and ask questions without any fear of feeling embarrassed or ridiculed.  It is also a great opportunity to meet new friends.

What's involved?

The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as, "Who is Jesus?" and "Why and how do I pray?" After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for everyone, especially:

  • Those wanting to investigate Christianity
  • New Christians (we also run New Life for New Christians)
  • Newcomers to the church
  • Those who want to brush up on the basics

What will it cost?

There is no charge for the Alpha Course.

When do Alpha Courses take Place?

We aim to run Alpha at least twice a year. The course takes place on Sunday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm over eight consecutive weeks. The next Alpha Course commences on Sunday 12th October 2008 for more information or to book call:  0113 243 1375 or email malcolm.lamb@bridgestreetchurch.org
