My soul finds rest in God alone
My salvation comes from him
He alone is my rock and my salvation
He is my fortress and I will never be shaken.

I come from a Roman Catholic family who believed firmly in praying to Christ, being good and doing good to earn heaven. At a very early age I was involved in church activities, visiting elderly people and I accompanied the parish priest to take holy communion to the bed ridden. I gave time to be with the nuns and was in the choir. I thought I was saved because I was doing good and I was baptised when I was little thinking "surely that must count."

In my twenties I started looking around for God to try and fill the emptiness I felt inside me. In my quest I even joined a Hindu sect and other churches. During all that time I never stopped praying and asking God to reveal Himself to me so that I could find Him and stop the long journey looking for Him and all His promises.

In 2003 I moved to Pudsey and this is how I happened to meet Karen and Steve Reilly. They invited me to Bridge Street and I also joined a small prayer group. I started attending church regularly and during one of the Sunday services I gave my life to Jesus! 
I have surrendered myself  to Him and He has become my Lord and Saviour!
